My memories? His speaking at a graduation I attended as faculty at BYU-Hawaii. The way that he both made me feel good, but still pushed me to be a better person. My little bubba sent me a recent article about the damage that certain types of praise may cause, but President Hinckley seemed to know just how to mix praise, encouragement, and if need be, correction. I am thankful for his service.
BYU put together a nice tribute to him, and it reminded me of what I wrote about above, and just simply how good a leader he was.
